Please note: any releases on former PolyGram owned labels such as Vertigo, Island, A&M, Mercury, Polydor, Decca, Philips etc, are 1999 or later, as are any releases with a PolyGram styled numerical catalogue number (xxxxxx-x). Universal Music as a brand dates to late December 1996 when MCA's corporate entity was renamed Universal Music Group although it may have been used a few months earlier in some European territories as a company brand. The brand was introduced into Canada at the start of 1997. List here [b]ONLY[/b] releases with the Universal Music logo on them or releases which specifically credit Universal Music. When credited as "xxxxxxx, [b]A Universal Music Company[/b]" please list as [b]Record Company - Universal Music[/b].
